Note:
This course is the updated version of the Fundamental Issues of Caseflow
Management (FICM) course. If you have already taken the FICM course in the last 7 years, you do not need to take the Caseflow & Workflow Management course in order to
fulfill the requirements for the Certified Court Manager credential.

INFORMATION:
Note: This course is titled Caseflow & Workflow Management 1, as it is the first offering of the
course this year. There will be a second offering later in 2026.
- Class will be in session on March 3-4 and 10-11, 2026, from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Eastern Time with a 15-minute break each
day.
- Central Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Mountain Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Pacific Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Check your local time zone, especially if your
area does not observe Daylight Savings Time.
- Important! Review these two documents to successfully participate in an ICM virtual course.
- Class will consist of live video lecture, discussions, and group exercises. Zoom breakout rooms will be used for "table
group" discussions and exercises.
- Participants must join the course via computer (not just by phone) and remain engaged throughout the class sessions in order to successfully complete the
course and receive their certificate.
- Participants must join from their own device (larger than a phone) to be able to engage fully in polls, chats, and breakout groups.
- Participants may not participate as a group in a conference room using
only one computer.
- There will be pre-course assignments and
required readings before class, and short homework assignments between class sessions.
- Practice
Sessions are highly recommended for first-time ICM virtual course attendees. Sessions are held on the second Monday of each month from 3:00 pm - 3:30 pm Eastern
Time. Join at 3:00 to receive a full orientation to the Zoom features used in ICM courses. Click here to join each

Faculty Certification Opportunity: Those from a Consortium state or Licensee Partner
organization interested in becoming faculty for this course should contact their judicial educator to inquire about the need for additional faculty before registering for the

Course
Description:
This
course examines known and proven elements of caseflow management (case processing protocols and actions) and workflow management (management of the people, procedures, and
resources supporting caseflow management activities). Participants will analyze the effectiveness of their court's current caseflow management system and practices and learn how
to apply best practices of caseflow and workflow management to their court. The course helps court professionals understand what is affecting caseflow positively or negatively in
their court, and provides practical tools to improve their court's caseflow and workflow.
As a result of participating in this course, participants will be able
to:
- Assess the effectiveness of your court's
caseflow management system.
- Identify steps to refuce the size and age
of their court's pending case inventory and streamline caseflow processes.
- Identify variations in caseload type and
complexity and assess implications for caseflow and workflow processes.
- Discuss challenges that influence the
ability to change caseflow management processes.
- Develop a system that ensures timely
disposition of all cases in collaboration with stakeholders.
Payment and ICM
Cancellation Policies:
Payment: Full
payment is required before the start of a course. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars (NCSC federal Tax ID #52-0914250.
Course
Certificates: Course completion certificates will be given only to those participants who attend the entire course and who have made full tuition
payment.
Cancellation
Policy: Participants who wish to cancel their registration must do so no later than five business days prior to the start date of the course. Those who cancel fewer than
five days prior to the start date will be charged a $100.00 cancellation fee. No refunds are given after the start of the course.
Certification
Policy: Participants have
7 years to complete each level of ICM certification. From the time you take your first Certified Court Manager (CCM) course, all six CCM courses must be completed within seven
years. The same is true for the seven Certified Court Executive (CCE) courses. Once all 13 CCM and CCE courses have been completed, the CCE credential will be
awarded.
